Our Story
Being close mates of each other since high school, we created MATES. (pun intended) and started our journey with a simple shared belief – becoming a better version of ourselves through wellness and healthy living.
Having been in a few highly demanding corporate jobs, we knew we were leading an unhealthy lifestyle and had limited healthy food options on-the-go.
We didn't want to take plain fast food when it comes to peak seasons. Instead of something cheaply convenient, we wanted sustainable and healthy food that could keep us energised through the day… something that could be taken anywhere, anytime.
We decided to finally take a step forward to realise the importance of healthy eating even when we are at our busiest. We started MATES. with our laser-focus mission - to redefine healthy living the urban way.
MATES. is an avenue for us to bring healthier and more easily accessible food alternatives to ourselves, and to the people in this urban community who have the same problem as we do.
After many relentless trials and errors, Oatler - our first baby was born. And this is just the beginning, we can't wait to share what other cool stuff we have with you!

Our quest for a better sub for daily diets
We were once bothered by how meal replacements could taste bland, cumbersome, and most of the time, boring.
During our search, we tried 50 over similar products available in the market. While some were satisfactory, most were subpar – overly sweet/artificial taste, watery texture, low satiety score and huge inconvenience (needed shaker and scoops always!).
That’s why we decided to reimagine this by creating something that didn’t exist. All we wanted was just a better substitute for daily diets.
